Yoga for Health in Stafford and Cannock

Why Yoga for Health?

Nearly 8 out of 10 people feel that they don't get enough relaxation. The ability to relax is important to release mental, emotional and physical tension. All tension starts with emotional tension, but if you can learn to relax properly it can alter your genetic activity in ways that significantly improve your health and heals a number of diseases.

Yoga is scientifically proven to help with many health conditions, and relaxation is key to this. Conditions such as anxiety, arthritis, back problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, insomnia, menstrual problems have up to 95% success rate with yoga. That's why yoga for health is important!

Yoga for Health is a new yoga class that starts in Stafford in December. To be held at Brooklands School on the Eccleshall Road, Stafford, the class will run on Fridays from 5.45pm to 7pm. In 75 mins you will experience the bliss of Satyananda yoga combined with deep mindfulness practices and meditation. Ideal for anxiety and stress and leaving you chilled out and energised for the weekend, the class is good for beginners but will also benefit those more experience in Yoga who want to explore a gentle, more mindful practice and deeper meditation techniques (including tantra).

Through a combination of yoga and yoga nidra (deep mind-body relaxation) you will learn how to release all physical, mental and emotional tension to improve your health and wellbeing.

  • develop a deeper sense of calm and cope with life's adversities better
  • improve your strength and flexibility
  • overcome stress and anxiety
  • sleep better and have more energy
  • learn how to stop letting your emotions get the better of you
The Hall at Brooklands School is a particularly special venue to hold this class. The philosophy of the school is to provide a secure, stimulating and structured environment, perfect for yoga! It's philosophy is 'Founded in Faith, Forward in Freedom' offering a ready-made community feel!

COST: £5.50 per session (or £30 for 6 weeks) (concessions available for state benefits /carers/OAP)

Yoga for Health is a new yoga class that starts in Cannock in January. In 60 mins you will experience the bliss of Satyananda yoga combined with deep mindfulness practices and meditation. Ideal for anxiety and stress and leaving you chilled out and energised for the week, the class is good for beginners but will also benefit those more experience in Yoga who want to explore a gentle, more mindful practice and deeper meditation techniques (including tantric meditation).

Cost: £4.50 drop in or £24 for 6 week course paid in advance (concessions available for state benefits/carers/OAP)
