Acu-Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach to well-being combining the eastern healing practices of accupressure, yoga, meditation and massage. Using the knowledge of pressure points and the human energy system, we try to uncover the root of ill-health and develop an individual treatment.
By combining the healing therapies of acupressure, yoga, shiatsu and meditation, a powerful resonance is created to maximise well-being and promote a deep healing.
Example Posture
Bridge Pose - Dwi Pada Pittam

1. Lie on your back.
2. Bend your knees so that the soles of your feet are flat on the floor.
3. Put your arms above your head on the floor and relax them.
4. Inhale, arching the pelvis up. Hold for several seconds.
5. Exhale as you slowly come down. Continue to inhale up and exhale down for one minute.
6. Relax on your back with your eye's closed for a few minutes.
This posture works on the following acupressure points and helps to relieve fatigue, cold hands or feet, nervous exhaustion, irritability, shoulder pain or ache, excessive anger, hypertension, resistance to colds and flu.

With many thanks to the acupressure institute and Michael Reed Gach for his wonderful teachings and resources on acu-yoga.
