Attendance includes a FREE professionally produced Video DVD for your own healing home practice.

Suitable for women of all ages and abilities.

Our relationship with our menstrual cycle is deeply emotional; we all tend to remember the day we started our period, and most of us have negative feelings around this of shame, annoyance, suffering. This cycle is often unconsciously, or consciously, learnt as being the bane of our life (limiting activity, leading to pregnancy, pain and suffering). But if you can truly learn to embrace your body's miraculous cycle (the universe in your body), herein lies the secret to tapping your power as a woman and fully embrace what it means to be female.

In this course you will learn about:

  • the physiology of your cycle and the role of the brain.
  • The Yogic view of menstruation
  • A sequence of yoga asanas for healthy menstruation
  • Practices for alleviating menstrual cramps - asana, pranayama, acupressure work
  • Meditation practices to help with pain, discomfort and mood swings
  • Deep relaxation techniques (including 6 bridges) to help remove energy blockages
  • Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) techniques to heal the 'wound' within
  • Shatkarmas (purification practices) to help the body in its cleansing process
  • Self hypnosis for pain relief and letting go of emotional 'stuff'

(NOTE: the half day version of this course may not include all of the above - see the course Welcome Pack for full details)

Your Course Tutor

Sue Tupling has been teaching studying yoga and meditation for over 20 years and teaching yoga for over 6 years. She is an accredited stress management practitioner (ISMA) and psychotherapist. Her unique approach to yoga is inspired by her own experience of the power of yoga to change her life in a deep and transforming way. Sue personally had such pain and suffering in her menstrual cycle that she was told she needed a hysterectomy, to cure it. But she has managed this with yoga, and is mostly completely symptom free. Susan is skilled at leading Yin and Yang Yoga practices (as taught by her teacher, Simon Low). She is a Yoga Academy teacher (BWY Accredited School) and has trained with top international yoga teachers, including Simon Low, Tias Little, Julie Goodmasted. She is also a qualified teacher of Yoga Nidra (Satyananda School).
